City Edge Closer to Eto’o Deal

Manchester City appear to be closer to clinching a deal for current Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o. The Cameroonian has long been a target for City, but with numbers now being bantered back and forth between all parties it looks like an agreement may not be that far off.

City hope to finalize the deal that they believe would be the signing of the summer. The striker was a pivotal member of Barca’s dream team this past season, leading the Catalan giants to La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Champions League success.

The Daily…

Barry is a Signal of Intent

The Manchester City rebuilding process has already started, as Mark Hughes has wrapped up the signing of Gareth Barry. The former Aston Villa midfielder completed the transfer yesterday in a move that cost City £12 million.

Barry had the chance to move to Liverpool last season but decided to help steer Aston Villa into next season’s Europa League. At his new club, Barry will be keen to join up with City’s current superstars such as Robinho, and perhaps even more stars that are on their way. This signing is being viewed by…

Let’s All Hope for City Success

Before you harp on me for being a United fan that hopes Manchester City does well, hear me out. The English Premier League is enjoying its most dominant spell in Europe at the moment. Will Anyone Go to City?

Since the takeover of Manchester City by the Abu Dhabi based lads in September, it seems like every superstar in the world has been linked to the team.

Of course many people will remember how Kaka turned down the largest transfer in the history of the game earlier this year, and recently Gianluigi Buffon and Raul have both…

Manchester City Chase Raul

Spanish newspaper Marca is reporting that Manchester City have made an offer for Real Madrid skipper and legend Raul. The Spanish striker is coming to the end of an illustrious career at Santiago Bernabeu, as all signs suggest that Florentino Perez’s return to the club would force Raul out.

In typical Manchester City fashion, the fees being discussed are astronomical. If you believe Marca, City are offering Raul a four year deal worth around £35 million. This recommendation comes from another over-priced Manchester City star - apparently Robinho, Raul’s former teammate at Real,…

City’s Season on Verge of Collapse

When the Abu Dhabi United Group bought Manchester City at the beginning of this season, both myself and football fanatics around the world sensed a new beginning for the blue side of Manchester. Names like Kaka and David Villa were all rumored to be heading to the City of Manchester Stadium, and even when the signing of Robinho was clinched I genuinely believed that the club would at least comfortably wrap up a UEFA Cup spot.

How wrong I was. Manchester City’s dismal away form has left them in the bottom half…
