With the Barclays Premier League season in full swing, Liverpool fans are looking forward to a top four finish, but the last time Liverpool placed in the top four was in the 2008/09 season and in recent seasons things didn’t seem to be looking up.

The owners of Liverpool FC have been rifling through managers, new and old, trying to find the manager that will bring the Reds back to glory. Brendan Rodgers is the first hopeful solution to Liverpool’s title drought and he seems to know the winning formula so far this season.

Rodgers has changed the Liverpool squad drastically since he came into management in 2012 from Swansea, so much so that the team is barely recognizable. The Liverpool manager has added extreme talent to the team, such as: Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho, Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Victor Moses, and Mamadou Sakho.

The strike force of Sturridge and Suarez is devastating, scoring 12 goals in the six games that they have partnered in Premier League so far this season and also both having outstanding individual records for Liverpool so far. With top-class playmakers Coutinho, Moses, and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, the Reds will most definitely be a forced to be reckoned with.

Offense is not the only thing that Liverpool have got covered this season, with the new defenders Toure and Sakho getting signed by Rodgers in the last transfer window. These two players add a large, physical aspect to the defense and that is exactly what this team has been missing in the past few years. A solid back line will allow wingbackers Jose Enrique and Glen Johnson to move up the field and do what they do best.

With Liverpool being second in the league so far in this Barclays Premier League season, I am extremely excited to see how this season unfolds. If the Reds win the league I will be happier than someone who just hit the jackpot at jackgold.com. I look forward to experiencing the joy that is the Barclays Premier League 2013/14 season, along with all my fellow fans. Despite what happens this season, always remember “You will never walk alone”.
