Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has given an injury update on his trio of players that picked up knocks this week. Spurs ran rampant against visiting Norwegian club Tromso in the Europa League on Thursday night, winning 3-0 on the back of a brace from Jermain Defoe and a first goal for midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The match appeared to have cost Spurs a few key players, however, as left back Danny Rose was subbed off in the 38th minute and Mousa Dembele came off after 64 minutes. Center back Younes Kaboul also picked up a knock during the match, but Villas-Boas has now clarified that all three players should be fine.

“Younes (Kaboul) should be fine, he was just feeling tight,” Villas-Boas revealed after the match, according to the Daily Mail. ”Danny (Rose) will be reassessed tomorrow, his ankle hasn’t swollen up a lot so hopefully it should be okay and Mousa (Dembele) should be fine.

“But it’s always important to see that first night if it (an injury) swells up or not, so for now we’ll just have to wait a little bit.”

Luckily for Tottenham supporters, the club now enjoys a wealth of players at each position. Vlad Chiriches is still biding his time to make his debut for the club at center back as the Romanian continues to wait for a work permit. Dembele, meanwhile, faces stiff competition in the middle of the pitch as new signing Paulinho, Sandro, and Etienne Capoue have all impressed this season.

Tottenham take on Cardiff City this Sunday and then only have one day off before they take on Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.
