Tottenham defender Kyle Walker has mocked the intensity of media coverage being given to Real Madrid’s signing of Gareth Bale. The Welshman enjoyed his first full day at the club yesterday following the international break, and since then almost all corners of the media have shown images of the former Spurs midfielder during every step of his day.

One of the most widely published photos and stories was the moment when Bale met Cristiano Ronaldo, whose world transfer record was broken this year when Bale made an £86 million move to the Spanish giants. Now, Walker is astonished at some of the reporting he’s seen surrounding Bale, and tweeted a mocking message about reporters discussing the price of Bale’s jeans as compared to Ronaldo’s.

The long and anxious wait for Bale to make his appearance in a Real Madrid kit will likely come to an end this weekend when Los Blancos take on Villareal on Saturday. All signs point to Bale making his debut during that match, giving him an opportunity to shine against the club that was just promoted back into La Liga after being relegated two seasons ago.

Gareth is no longer a Spurs player so why are we even interested. Move on.

Aha! Good spot, Rich! Was waiting to see who the first would be!

  3. Rich Perham says:

So lets get this right, your now writing a story, about someone else reporting irrelevant football news so in fact just adding to the ridiculous amount of coverage! Oh the irony!!
