Suarez linked with £45m move

Real Madrid may be preparing a swoop for Suarez

According to Metro, Real Madrid are preparing to launch a £45 million bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Real added sensational winger Gareth Bale on Sunday and could be looking to insert the talented Suarez as they attempt to challenge perennial La Liga rivals Barcelona, who won the Spanish title last season. Suarez would make for a lethal attack for Los Blancos as he would join Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, a trio that scored a combined 117 goals in all competitions last year.

Liverpool’s English striker Daniel Sturridge has been one of the top performers in the Premier League so far, scoring five goals in four matches and netting the match winner in each game. The 24 year old recently scored against Manchester United in the club’s 1-0 victory over the Premier League champions on Sunday. Should Sturridge continue his spectacular run of form, his play may soften the blow for the Reds if they do decide to sell Suarez.

Suarez was heavily linked with a move to north London club Arsenal throughout the summer as Gunners manager Arsene Wenger had two bids rejected for the player before giving up on his chase to sign the Uruguayan, with his second bid estimated at £40 million.
