According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are eyeing a sensational £70 million triple swoop for Real Madrid players Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria, and Karim Benzema. Real Madrid are reportedly looking to offload some players due to the impending arrival of Tottenham winger Gareth Bale, who is expected to smash the existing world transfer record when he completes his move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

While Arsenal are yet to spend a single pound this summer, the report believes that Wenger is willing to spend the entirety of his transfer budget on the three Real Madrid players. So far the Gunners have only brought in French players Yaya Sanogo and Mathieu Flamini, both of which signed on free transfers.

While Arsenal are interested in Real’s three stars, they will face a challenge in signing them. Both Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria have already stressed their desire to remain with the La Liga runners-up, while Benzema has already gotten off to a scoring start in the new season.

Arsenal take on north London rivals Tottenham in their second derby match of the young season on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium as they look to defend their north London supremacy.
