According to the Daily Express, an Italian regional newspaper claims Arsenal are being linked with the purchase of striker Fabio Quagliarella from Italian side Juventus. After Arsene Wenger confirmed that German forward Lukas Podolski will miss not just three weeks but at least two months of action with a hamstring injury, Arsenal are reportedly looking to bring in a replacement for the forward, who has already scored twice early on in the season for the Gunners.

Quagliarella had been linked with a move to the Premier League already this season after having agreed terms with West Ham for a fee thought to be £8.5 million. The deal sputtered, however, and Quagliarella remained in Italy. The 30 year old striker is thought to not be needed by Juventus as the side brought in former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Teves as well as 28 year old Spanish goal-scorer Fernando Llorente.

Quagliarella has played all over Italy, arriving at Juventus in 2010 from Napoli. The Italian striker has scored 22 goals in 67 appearances for the club but may be pushed out this summer.
