Tottenham have agreed a deal with Italian side Roma for the transfer of Erik Lamela to White Hart Lane today. The 21 year old star has been rumored with a move to the club throughout the past two weeks and the transfer has reportedly been completed.

Lamela was purchased for €30 million with another possible €5 million in bonuses. Roma released a brief report on their official website today announcing the sale of the player.

“Roma announce they have signed a contract with Tottenham for the outright sale of the playing rights of Erik Lamela, in exchange for 30m euros. The agreement also includes the obligation to pay 5m euros in bonuses related to the achievements of the player and the English club,” the statement read on Roma’s official websiteas translated by Sky Sports.

Lamela has been tipped to be one of the brightest prospects for the future and has been sensational for Roma. The forward scored 19 goals for the Italian side over the last two years, demonstrating his ability at a young age to be an effective player. Lamela is skilled with the ball at his feet, can score at will, and has the ability to make the final pass.

Tottenham fans will be hoping he will be able to fill the void that Gareth Bale will create upon his departure to Real Madrid this summer.
