Premier League club Norwich have reportedly signed Galatasaray striker John Elmander according to ESPN. The Turkish outfit confirmed that Elmander will be moving on from the Turkish giants after the striker’s appearances dipped last season to 16 from 32 the season before.

Elmander, a Swedish international, will return to the Premier League just two seasons after the striker left Bolton for the Turkish outfit, confirmed Galatasaray technical director Bulent Tulun to sportexpressen.se according to the ESPN report.

“I can confirm Johan is moving to England. We have agreed with Johan, his new club Norwich and his agent Anders (Wallsten). We wish Johan the best of luck in the future,” Tulun said to sportexpressen.se according to ESPN.

Norwich will be the 32-year-old’s tenth club, after originally starting his career with Swedish club Holmalunds, though Elmander only spent one season at the club before moving onto Örgryte the season afterwards. 11 seasons later the Swedish striker found himself at Galatasaray after signing a three-year deal with the club just a month after Elmander’s Bolton contract expired. The striker was a success for the Turkish giants in his first season, scoring 12 times, but only made 16 appearances for the Turkish giants last season, scoring four times.

The 32-year-old becomes Norwich’s eighth signing of the summer, after the side captured the likes of Gary Hooper, Leroy Fer, Carlo Nash, Martin Olsson, Nathan Redmond, Javier Garrido, and Ricky van Wolfswinkel during manager Chris Hughton’s rebuild of the squad.
