Serie A side Inter Milan have signed Chelsea defender Wallace on a season-long loan after boss Jose Mourinho decided to off-load his young defender to the manager’s former. Goal.com says that the right-back is seeking first-team opportunities away from Stamford Bridge after work permit problems delayed the Brazilian from joining the London outfit.

The Serie A giants confirmed the loan capture of the 19-year-old defender on their official site, while the youngster’s agent Frederico Moraes spoke to Tuttomercatoweb.com about the move for the right-back.

“Wallace is truly very happy that things all went for the best and now he just wants to wear the Inter jersey as soon as possible,” Moraes said to Tuttomercatoweb.com, according to Goal.com.

The Brazilian defender joined Chelsea last season after signing from Brazilian club Fluminense. The youngster spent two seasons at the Brazilian side, breaking through to the club’s first team at just age 17, while making 21 league appearances and scoring once for the club who placed twelfth in the Brasileirão, also referred to as the Brazilian Serie A.

Wallace’s loan completion comes just days after fellow Brazililan Lucas Piazon was loaned out for the season as well, as the 19-year-old forward joined Dutch side Vitesse on a season-long loan in the hopes of getting more playing time.

The Brazilian Piazon was loaned out to La Liga side Malaga last season where he made 11 league appearances for club but was held off the scoresheet.
