Fulham manager Martin Jol has confirmed that the club have reached an agreement for out of favor QPR attacker Adel Taarabt. According to Jol, all of the terms have been agreed between the clubs and the player, with a medical later today the only formality before the player will be unveiled.

The deal bringing Taraabt to Craven Cottage is a season-long loan deal, saving Queens Park Rangers from having to pay the Moroccan’s wages.

“He agreed everything with the club,” Jol confirmed to reporters, according to “[The] Only thing we have to do now is a medical. If that is sound and good then he will join us.

“I like his creativity, sometimes it comes off like the year before when he [was] involved in a lot of goals. It’s like Berbatov, for all his fantastic talents, sometimes he will be blamed, but I hope I can find a way to gel him in. But I think he can do a hell of a job for us.”

QPR had a dismal campaign last season, finishing rock bottom even after the appointment of Harry Redknapp in November. They’ve had a fast start to their new life in the Championship, beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 in their opening fixture of the season. Taarabt did not play in their first match of the season, with Harry Redknapp instead opting to go with the services of wantaway midfielder Joey Barton.

Taarabt will provide even more technical flair and ability to Jol’s attacking options, complementing the finesse of star striker Dimitar Berbatov. Taarabt has 15 caps for the Moroccan national team after playing in France’s national youth squads. The midfielder has Premier League experience from his time at Tottenham, where he appeared in just seven top flight games to go along with his 25 Premier League appearances for QPR last season.
