QPR live streaming friendly match

QPR help fans around the world watch their match

By | 26th July 2013

In an excellent precedent set by Championship side Queens Park Rangers, the club are currently live streaming their friendly match against Exeter City. Harry Redknapp’s side kicked off against Exeter City this evening, and the club tweeted a link to watch the match live for viewers around the world. This is in stark contrast to the attitude of the Premier League and many of its clubs, who have squashed live streams of their matches in the past.

The Rs just suffered one of their worst seasons in history, having finished at the rock bottom of the Premier League. Now, Harry Redknapp will be hunting for Championship promotion this season with a star-studded squad. Today’s friendly match sees experienced Premier League veterans Shaun Wright-Phillips, Andy Johnson, and Bobby Zamora all on the pitch, not to mention former England number one Robert Green.

At the time of publishing, QPR leads 1-0 after an Andy Johnson goal, assisted by former Chelsea and Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips. Catch the match live in the club’s official tweet above, or directly on the club’s uStream account.
