Fellaini: “I will turn to a new club”

According to The Independent, Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has revealed that he will leave the club by the end of this year’s campaign, as early as the January transfer window. Before putting on a brilliant performance against Sunderland on Saturday, the striker spoke out to the Belgian media regarding his desire to end his time with Everton.

“I have seen everything at Everton and in January or at the end of the season I will turn to a new club or a new league,” Fellaini said last week.

With already six goals this season, the versatile Belgian leads Everton, and has attracted attention from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, including Chelsea. Having already matched his goal total from last year, Fellaini is expected to draw some large bids, exceeding the £15 million fee Everton paid for him to leave Standard Liège in 2008.

Moyes bracing for departure of star

Toffees boss David Moyes has been in this situation before with Everton and is adamant that his team can rebound to stay towards the top of the Premier League table.

Moyes said: “In fact, people might say that Everton have lost good players but they have improved. We sold Joleon Lescott, we sold Mikel Arteta and, though we have felt really down when we lost those players, we have had to pick ourselves up and find others. The club will always be bigger than any player or manager and the players we have brought in are showing that.”

Currently sitting fourth in the league, Moyes knows that if his squad doesn’t remain in a Champions League qualifying position, he might be stuck in the pattern of losing his best players to bigger teams.

“I have to realise that if I have top players and I can’t give them trophies, cup finals or European football, I might have to accept what they are thinking,” added the Merseyside outfit manager.

I want felliani to join manchester united in.

  3. If you want the afro you are going to need very deep pockets. Let's start the bidding at £30m and see where it goes.

  4. Brian Lofrumento says:

Would be a huge loss for the Toffees. There's no chance of them finishing in the top four, so no chance of Fellaini staying.
