After months of speculation surrounding Theo Walcott’s future at Arsenal, manager Arsene Wenger has told the club’s official website that he will do everything in his power to keep the pacy attacker at the Emirates.

Walcott’s future remained unclear at Arsenal due to his seemingly never-ending contract struggles, but Wenger is determined to sort out the English international’s contract soon.

“My desire is to keep Theo,” he reiterated. “We do what’s needed to keep him and hopefully [as] I told you many times, we can sort this situation out very soon.

“Very soon is before the end of December – one way or another, that is for sure.

“I don’t want to go into any details but you can believe me [that] we do the maximum we can to keep our best players.”

Wenger’s clear statement should serve to put an end to all of the transfer speculation, especially after some serious interest from Italian giants Juventus. The defending Serie A champions have been strongly linked with a move for Walcott, but that speculation has died down recently.

Is Walcott good enough to propel Arsenal into the top four? Have your say below!
