Frank Lampard believes that Chelsea’s summer signing Eden Hazard can go down as one of the top players in the history of the club when all is said and done in the young Belgian’s career.

Lampard, 34, has only trained for a few days with the 21-year old Hazard but has seen enough glimpses of brilliance to feel that the starlet has very bright prospects ahead.

“My first impressions of Hazard are very good. You can see he is a natural in training with his touch, his awareness, his speed and the first time I saw him play in Seattle I could see he is player with a lot of natural ability,” Lampard commented on ChelseaFC.com.

The midfielder added: “There are signs he can be a big player in Chelsea history if he wants to be.”

Lamps also had words of encouragement for the other two youngsters who join Hazard to compose of the Blues’ £65 million summer spending: German Marko Marin and Brazilian Oscar.

“Marin is very enjoyable to play with. I have only played with him once or twice and he picks up great positions on the pitch and is very sharp. He is the kind of creative player we want at Chelsea to excite the fans.

“And all the reports I have heard of Oscar are very good too and hopefully he can come and adapt to the English game very quickly. We have a few midfielders now who can play in areas where we can hurt the other teams, we have Juan Mata to come back as well, so the future looks good for us,” he concluded.
