Ramsey thrilled with Podolski and Giroud signings

Aaron Ramsey has hailed the quality of Arsenal’s summer signings Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, expressing confidence in the duo’s ability to succeed in the Barclays Premier League.

Manager Arsene Wenger introduced Podolski and Giroud a few weeks ago as the duo who could take the Gunners’ attacking dimension to a whole new level alongside skipper Robin van Persie.

However, the latter’s recent refusal to sign an extension with the club has led to widespread reports regarding a transfer later this summer.

Hence, the pressure on Germany international Podolski and France international Giroud has increased significantly.

Team GB starlet Ramsey, for one, is confident that the pair can carry the offensive load next season despite never playing in the English top flight in the past.

“They are great additions to the squad. Hopefully they can do their bit for the team and hopefully we can have a big season,” the Welshman stated while preparing for the London Olympics.

Podolski holds the incredible honor of being capped by his nation on over 100 occasions at only 27 years old while Giroud, 25, scored 21 goals for Montpellier last season en route to their stunning Ligue 1 title win.
