United clinch another signing

Chilean youngster heading to Old Trafford

By | 8th June 2012

According to the Daily Mail Manchester United have wrapped up yet another early summer signing. The Red Devils are set to unveil the signing of Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez, a relatively unknown young prospect that is now waiting on a UK work permit before he completes his paperwork.

The transfer fee is reported to be in the region of just £3 million, representing good value if the 18 year old ends up producing for the Red Devils. The youngster has already made ten appearances for Chilean giants Universidad de Chile, scoring eight goals.

If the work permit goes through as expected, Henriquez will be joining Shinji Kagawa at Old Trafford as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to get his summer shopping out of the way early.

While the transfer appears to have come out of nowhere, the Daily Mail report suggests he’s been on the Premier League club’s radar for over a year now. Scouts last uncovered Mexican sensation on their last scouting trip to the Americas, and United fans will be hoping Henriquez can be nearly as successful as Chicharito was in his first season with the club.

Who should Ferguson target next as he rebuilds his United side? Have your say below!
