Spurs striker wants to stay

By | 23rd May 2012

Tottenham Hotspur striker Louis Saha has reiterated his desire to stay on at White Hart Lane as his contract expires this summer.

Fans of the North London club are surely concerned with a potential exodus as bigger clubs line up for some of Harry Redknapp’s stars such as Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, and with only Europa League football on display next season Redknapp may be forced to shuffle his squad.

Saha, however, remains dedicated to the Tottenham cause after a relatively quiet start to his Spurs career.

The French striker moved to White Hart Lane from Everton in January, but was quoted in The Sun as saying he’d like to stay.

“I cannot say I want to leave,” said the 33 year old.

The former Manchester United and Everton forward added: “Harry has been good for me personally. What makes him so good is his personality, tactics and the way that he can work and relate to the players.”

Tottenham fans will also be pleased to hear that Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor is working on a potential deal to keep him in London.

Adebayor was one of the loan signings of the season, and will be hoping to lead the line in August when the new Premier League season rolls around.
