Sneijder says "yes" to United  | read this item

Inter Milan and Holland midfielder Wesley Sneijder has finally responded directly to the speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United. The “new Paul Scholes,” as dubbed by some members of the media, has responded with a firm “yes” when asked if he’d like to move to Old Trafford before the transfer window closes this month.

“Yes, but Manchester United haven’t made an official approach yet,” Sneijder revealed to reporters yesterday. “There have been unofficial talks, there have been contacts, but then there are always contacts. I am now an Inter player, and chances are that I will still be that come August 31. [But] there is also a chance I could leave.”

Over the weekend Sneijder made it clear that he’s for sale at the right price, and yesterday reiterated that sentiment, insisting that all it will take is a fair offer.

“I think Inter have been very clear: if a good offer comes in, they have to let me go,” he said. “They don’t want to lose me but there is a chance they will let me go. If something crosses my path, I have enough time to make a decision.”

Will United finally land their main target? Will Sneijder be a success at Old Trafford? Have your say below!

  4. marc says:

my problem is the money and the chance he will block for other people, we have allowed a good player Obertan to leave cos of this heavy competition in the team. I hope we included a buy back clause. If we have players more than thirty still playing then with discipline its possible to get him to play for six or seven glorious years, he appears to be made for Man united.
