Another Everton striker on the move

By | 26th January 2011

Everton striker James Vaughan has been loaned back to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season. After Vaughan began this season on a three month loan, the striker is headed back to help keep Crystal Palace in the second tier.

The 22-year-old made 14 appearances, scoring five goals during his brief Championship spell. At the end of the season, the club will have the option to make the move permanent, and Vaughan is very pleased with the move.

“I’m really glad the move’s been completed. I’ll hopefully start training with the lads and playing soon,” Vaughan said on the club’s website. Vaughan added that Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman was a big part of the move.

“Dougie was a big part in me coming back. he worked really closely with me last time I was here.

“The Palace fans have always been good to me and while I’ve been away a lot were trying to contact me, which was great.”

The young striker will look to impress enough to either return to Everton, and make an impact on the first team for next season, or to make the move permanent.
