Qatar is set to develop never before seen amenities.

While football pundits around the world will continue to debate the merit of Qatar’s winning bid for the 2022 World Cup, the world is slowly coming to terms with it and looking forward to an innovative and groundbreaking tournament. Below is a video of five of Qatar’s planned stadiums, which is gaining wide exposure on YouTube as it approaches one million views.

Twelve stadiums in all make up Qatar’s bid, with only three of them already built (all three of which must undergo extensive renovation). Nine of the stadiums, meanwhile, will be built ahead of the 2022 games, and all twelve of them will have air conditioning systems to combat the sweltering 50 degree Celsius summer weather.

Additionally, Qatar’s bid is innovative as they plan on using “modular stadiums.” As the official FIFA Bid Summary report states: “In terms of its legacy, the Bidder would promote sustainable football and societal development in Qatar, the Middle East, and the rest of the world by donating its modular stadium components to developing countries.”

There are certainly things to be excited for in each of the three forthcoming World Cups, and Premiership Talk will continue to bring you the latest news and developments from Brazil, Russia, and Qatar!
