Dutch defender Jos Hooiveld, who was chosen to unveil Celtic’s new away kit yesterday, was upbeat about the club’s prospects throughout his conversation with the media present at Celtic Park.
The Hoops were eliminated from the Champions League last week but still have the Europa League as well as the domestic title to fight for.
As far as Hooiveld is concerned, his teammates are on the right track with their preparation and on a personal level, he is striving to reach his best with every passing day.
After promoting the Nike gear that the Bhoys will be sporting on the road this season, Hooiveld turned his focus to sharing his ambitions with the reporters on hand.
“I just want to make sure I reach my top level. It takes a bit of time – but I’ve had some time here already. The fans haven’t seen the best of me yet.
“You have to get used to the team, the way of playing, the new players and their strengths.
“The Braga defeat in Portugal wasn’t great – we could have and should done better. At home it was a really difficult game. There are a lot of things still to work on but we’re going in the right direction,” said the 27-year old.
