Celtic and Tottenham continue to be linked with Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy. The Welshman’s future is being questioned due to City’s high spending this summer and the potential return of Robinho to the club. Additionally, the Citizens are still trying to find a way to meet the new Premier League squad requirements, meaning several players will find their future away from the City of Manchester Stadium.
Celtic were devastated to crash out of the Champions League yesterday, but fans of the club could be eyeing domestic success if they can land a player of Bellamy’s caliber. The winger/striker is no stranger to Celtic Park having played there five years ago on a loan deal, and manager Neil Lennon’s refusal to deny the rumors has sparked more transfer talk.
When asked about the potential deal for Bellamy, Lennon simply stated: “I wouldn’t like to say anything at the moment.”
He went on to say that he hopes Celtic is in the right position to land such a big signing by saying: “I would hope so but I don’t know. It’s still up in the air with regards to that.”
The BBC, meanwhile, is reporting that Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has Bellamy placed high on his transfer wish list, prompting calls that Bellamy could move south to London. Tottenham still hasn’t found a consistent strike partner for Jermain Defoe, and Redknapp is known admirer of Bellamy.

would love to see bellamy at celtic but would prefer to spend that kinda money on few big centre halves and good goalie and besides tottenham have more strikers than a miners picket line who's redknapp tryin to kid eh if keane cant get a regular start what chance would bellamy get eh
wages could be a problem as he earns more than the top earners at spurs,so that wouldn't go down to well, and would levy shell out 8 mil and then take a hit on it as the sell on would be almost zilchas he's 31.Loaning him out seem the only viable option.
Don't forgot Fulham (mark "Sparky" Hughes) and Cardiff (green green grass of home), Bellamy's preferred destinations.
He's very welsh, isn't he?
