Real Madrid’s tour of the U.S. West Coast to take on the San Jose Earthquakes and last season’s beaten MLS Cup finalists Los Angeles Galaxy will likely not be the only contribution Los Galacticos will be making towards the development of U.S. soccer this summer. New manager Jose Mourinho’s implementation of policies that are significantly more strict than the ones in the past is poised to result in club veterans Raul and Jose Maria Guti being forced to exit the Bernabeu.

Raul, who once captained his club and country before handing over both the armbands to Iker Casillas, has been linked to Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls for quite a while now but the player’s reluctance to leave Madrid has never allowed the move to materialize. Now, with former Arsenal and Barcelona superstar Thierry Henry furthering the MLS revolution began by former Galactico David Beckham, the Spanish forward can be convinced to finally seal a move to ply his trade across the Atlantic.

Henry revealed huge ambitions of bringing much awaited glory to New York in the next four seasons and with another Designated Player spot still available, the Red Bulls will undoubtedly be excited to officially confirm Raul’s availability over the next few days. Guti, meanwhile, is expected to stay in Europe.

With the Madristas also striving to acquire the signature of German midfielder Sami Khedira from Stuttgart, Henry’s compatriot Lassana Diarra could be headed back to the Premier League where he rose to prominence with Chelsea, Arsenal, and particularly Portsmouth.
