To maintain his angry old man image, Gary Neville has told reporters that he doesn’t miss former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho one bit. In fact, Neville says he doesn’t even have time to think about the self-proclaimed “Special One.”
Following his first return to Stamford Bridge just a week ago, Jose Mourinho revealed his desire to return to England. While most fans around England miss his witty remarks and always entertaining press conferences, the Manchester United captain dismissed claims of a lack in Premier League action.
“Jose was quite a character and I suppose a lot of people would be happy to see him back,” said Neville.
“When you’re at United, you’re so detached from what goes on elsewhere, you’ve got more than enough to concentrate on.
“Has Mourinho been missed in the English game? I don’t think so.
“The English game goes on with or without great managers and players.
“It’s far bigger than any one individual.”

Post Script
His joking of the Eufa Championship is the beginning of his demise. And Chelsea’s accomplishment will confirm his departure was needed to achieve it.
Jose must be a Democrat. Perhaps his team’s results may diminish his self proclaimed stature and re-align him with the realities. As Martha Coakley recently found out, Jose may understand that the Age of Arrogance is over. More enlightened coaches with stellar results less noise will dilute that importance that he has bestowed on himself. His holding of the top spot will prove to be fleeting.
