AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Los Angeles Galaxy’s David Beckham, stating that the Englishman’s arrival will be a welcome boost for the Rossoneri.

Beckham is set to enjoy his second loan spell at the Italian club following a successful spell there last season, and the temporary move means that  Beckham will have a chance to impress Fabio Capello even more ahead of the 2010 World Cup. It is this desire to appear in South Africa that makes Seedorf certain that Becks will be fighting hard.

“This is a very positive thing because it means that he’s highly motivated and he has to perform to be able to go,” said Seedorf.

“The fact that he’s going to play for a team in Europe doesn’t guarantee anything with Fabio Capello so he needs to perform well and that’s what he’s going to do, as he did when he came here last year.

“I am very pleased for him because I think it will be important for him to play at this level until the World Cup, to be able to enjoy that part of his career I know he would like to participate in.

“I think David is a very good player and he’s going to be fitter than he is now in the States, because the level is different and the training level is different. We are going to help him, he’s going to help us.”

AC Milan currently sit in third place in the Serie A table after 12 matches. Milan are seven points off the pace of league leaders and city rivals Inter Milan.

Bechkam’s re-introduction to Italian Football and with a world stage match in February benefits Italian Football greatly. Energy and expectation for ACs win is aroused. Affirmation of Beckman’s worth on the National team in S. Africa will be earned…by performance. Capello will respond favorably if the performance is there. He’s got a good sense for relating current form to future results
I see a triple win here : AC, Beckam and England Nationals. Should be intersting.
