Valencia’s David Villa has put Manchester United and Liverpool on red alert as he fired his agent, Jose Luis Tamargo. Tamargo has reportedly been sacked for his inability to secure a summer transfer away from Valencia, and Villa has a long list of suitors, including England’s giants.
Real Madrid and Barcelona were strongly linked for a move for the 27 year old over the summer following his sensational form for Spain, but with the two Spanish clubs since wrapping up deals for other star strikers (Benzema for Real and Ibrahimovic for Barca), a move to England is on the cards for Villa.
Sir Alex Ferguson is a known admirer of Villa, and with United’s strike force still missing a fourth notable name, Villa would be a perfect fit. The Spaniard would offer a lot to Fergie’s side that has seen Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov both disappoint this season. Still sitting on his £80 million war-chest from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo, any United bid would tempt a cash stricken Valencia side.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are yet to find a suitable partner for Fernando Torres. The Spaniard has set the world alight during his time in England, and having his national team teammate at Anfield would do wonders for the Liverpool attack.
Valencia’s financial woes mean that a potential move in January could be on.

United needs him rather than liverpool !!!
