Arsene Wenger has his sights set on Sunderland captain Lorik Cana as he aims to bring some bite to Arsenal’s lightweight midfield. Reports from the Sunderland Echo suggest that Arsenal will do their best to sign the Albanian midfielder when the transfer window opens.

Cana is a new signing at the Stadium of Light having joined the Black Cats over the summer. Manager Steve Bruce is a keen admirer of Cana, and made the midfielder his captain immediately upon his arrival at the club.

While there is no official word from the Arsenal camp, few doubt that Cana could help the Gunners midfield. His bite would perfectly complement Arsenal’s flair, but with Sunderland keen to continue their good early season form it could take a sizable bid to lure him away from the Stadium of Light.

Would Cana fit in at Arsenal? Have your say below!
