John Terry Has His Way With the Ladies | 
They call him Mr. Chelsea, and Blues skipper John Terry certainly lived up to that billing when he recently decided to take control of the financial aspect of the women’s football team at Stamford Bridge. The economy certainly hit the Chelsea ladies very hard as a significant portion of their funding from previous years was slashed this season.
Just when the captain of the women’s team, Casey Stone, felt that her side’s hopes of contending for major honors were virtually vanished this season, Terry saved the day in heroic fashion. The strong defender immediately met with Stone after one of the ladies’ training sessions and made a commitment to providing the necessary funding via leading a fundraiser between all the members of Chelsea’s senior squad.
This was certainly a great approach as the entire club came together to build excellent team spirit in addition to helping the women reacquire some of their important finances. To show even more importance to the Chelsea women, the England captain also decided to become a regular visitor at the women’s home games, hoping that his presence can also provide added encouragement to the ladies in bringing home some overdue silverware. Unsurprisingly, Stone has recognized that it is extremely thrilling to see Terry’s involvement with all aspects of the Chelsea project.
I personally cannot agree more. Like always, Terry will continue to be a decisive factor in the Blues’ mission to regain the Premier League, or finally win their first UEFA Champions League title. In fact, if every club had a character like JT, disappointing results such as the defeat to Aston Villa this past weekend become much easier to put behind. Expect Terry and the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s Blues to once again deliver at home against Atletico Madrid tomorrow night to restore normality at the club.
