robinho trainingInternational breaks are good for one reason: transfer rumors. This time the Daily Mail is reporting that Manchester City midfielder/striker Robinho could be on his way back to Spain, but this time with European heavyweights Barcelona.

According to reports,  Robinho has failed to impress the City management team and the club may be ready to cash in on their mega-money signing. Barcelona are prepared to offer City a princely sum of £33 million for the Brazilian, and Robinho is ready to accept a deal that matches his £160,000 a week salary at the Eastlands.

These rumors were all sparked by Spanish newspaper Sport, which is based in Barcelona and is reported to have close contacts with the treble winners. According to Sport, personal approval from City owner Sheik Monsour is the final piece of the puzzle.

The transfer is rumored to be on the cards as soon as January.

if barca can’t sign fabregas, Mashcerano, Torres and vidic should be on the list.

  2. Mike Diamente says:

I don’t think Robinho would help Barcelona at all…

Barca could use another midfielder like Fabregas, not a flashy ball hog.
