Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that Spurs are interested in a deal for Real Madrid striker Klass Jan Huntelaar. The Dutch international was in Stuttgart earlier this week to discuss a deal with the German giants after they agreed a fee with Real, but the player could not agree personal terms with the club.
Real Madrid agreed a fee of around £15 million with Stuttgart, and a fee in that region could be well within Redknapp’s budget at White Hart Lane. With striker Roman Pavlyuchenko likely to be on the way out, Tottenham is looking to add to their strike force of Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe.”The lad is a very good goalscorer and I’m still interested in him,” said Redknapp.
“I know of Stuttgart’s involvement but I’m hoping we will still be able to do something.
“There’s a lot of talk about who I may or may not be after but Huntelaar is the one I like.”
Huntelaar has also attracted the interest of Arsenal.
