mark-viduka-with-michael-owenPhil Brown is locked in talks with aging Newcastle striker Mark Viduka regarding a potential move to the KC Stadium. The 33 year old Aussie is looking to jump back into the Premier League, and with the option of retirement looming over his head he is willing to accept a pay-as-you-play deal.

Hull have chased strikers Michael Owen, Fraizer Campbell, and Marlon Harewood this summer, but after missing out on those three they believe Viduka represents good value for money.

Viduka is also being linked with a possible move to Portsmouth. Peter Crouch looks set to leave Fratton Park this summer, and while Sunderland have missed out on the giant striker there is no shortage of suitors. Arsenal and Tottenham are keen on Crouch, and Portsmouth would be competing with Hull to sign Viduka as a replacement.

Is Mark Viduka worth a gamble? Have your say below!
