rio-and-evraCristiano Ronaldo may be busy telling reporters that he is happy at Manchester United, but murmurs coming out of Old Trafford suggest the Portuguese winger may be on the way out. Patrice Evra has done nothing to quash the Ronaldo exit rumors, as the French leftback has publically invited his national team teammate Franck Ribery to the Theater of Dreams.

“Many say Cristiano will leave but only he knows the answer,” Evra told The Sun. “It’s clear a guy like Franck would be the ideal solution for United if Cristiano left. Of course I talk to Franck about it, I tell him you had better come here.”

There are few people who don’t think Ribery would be an excellent addition to the Premier League champions, but the debate rumbles on about whether or not he has the quality to replace the world’s greatest player. Ribery has performed very well in the German Bundesliga, and his performances on the international stage suggest the Premiership would be a great fit for the winger.

Whether we’ll see Franck Ribery in a United kit soon will all depend on the future of Cristiano Ronaldo. If the Portuguese winger stays, there’s no way United could raise the funds needed for such a big purchase. If Ronaldo goes, who else could replace him? Lionel Messi, for one…
