With it being April Fools Day and all, let’s all have a good laugh for this week’s Wednesday Wonder. Let’s face it, it was an international weekend, and there were not many “Wednesday Wonder-ful” performances to be had. There was quite the stir in the headlines on Friday when none other than John Terry’s mother was the center of attention in England. Less than 24 hours before John Terry was set to take the pitch against Slovakia in England’s international friendly, Ms. Terry was off making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
So why is Sue Terry this week’s Wednesday Wonder if she isn’t doing something wonderful? Well, in reality, the act she partook in on Friday is extraordinary, and it is a wonder why it happened.
Sue Terry is a hardened criminal, and for a very obvious reason, she was released and no charges were filed. This “innocent” 50-year-old woman, along with the help an accomplice - John Terry’s mother-in-law – stole food and clothing from Tesco and Marks and Spencer. This amounted to approximately £800 of merchandise.
Under any other circumstances, this would have been charged with a crime, but police just let the two women off with a caution. A caution generally means that the person admitted their guilt. So my question is this: If Sue Terry admitted to stealing £800 worth of merchandise, why was she let off by police?
Oh, that’s right, her son is an English footballing legend. Nothing spells corruption like professional athletes doing illegal things and getting away with it when normal people would be going to jail for years.
I guess this is all well and good, though. This story is just too funny in itself to go off on a pointless tangent when it happens on an everyday basis. I actually am quite proud of Sue Terry. She was just looking out for her little boy. You may be questioning what I am talking about, but believe me, her motives were genuine and from the heart.
If you haven’t seen on the main site, Umbro was a little upset that we rained on their parade by posting a picture of the new England kits before they were officially released. If you got a chance to look at the picture before we were forced to take it down, John Terry looks like he is suffocating in the new kit.
Since Sue Terry saw this on our site, she immediately ran out to the store, and did the only logical thing a loving mother would do for her suffering child; she went to grab her son a new shirt that would actually fit him. Now of course she ended up stealing the shirt, but wouldn’t you do the same if your child needed some assistance?
After mulling over this story for the past couple days, I would just like to applaud Sue Terry on a job well done! You are all about family, and that is why you are this week’s Wednesday Wonder!

Care to explain what is so “terrible” about it, Andy? Has humor passed you by? Is it that time of the month again? Haha
