Barely one day after a valiant effort was put forth by Portsmouth against Liverpool, manager Tony Adams is now hunting for job offers. Adams was fired after a disgraceful season of leading Portsmouth closer and closer to relegation. Currently one measly point out of relegation, the powers at Pompey had seen enough.
Many people could argue that Adams showed signs of turning the team in the right direction after witnessing Portsmouth’s 3-2 loss to Liverpool, but apparently he was still a ways off from moving the club in a positive way. Portsmouth are currently on a 9 match winless streak, which is absolutely unacceptable for a Premier League caliber club.
As of yet there is no news as to who the replacement will be, but stay with Premiership Talk in the coming days to stay updated on this story.
Was sacking Tony Adams the right decision? Have your say in the forums!

It was only a matter of time before he was axed. They should’ve done it earlier though.
It’s about time. Pompey were in seventh when Adams took over.
