Too little, too late? I don’t think so. Blackburn have today announced that they have sacked manager Paul Ince. The former England international had a miserable time at Ewood Park, picking up just 13 points from 17 league games.
This sacking was an easy decision for the Blackburn board, despite what chairman John Williams says. Ince took over a side that finished in seventh last season. He took a UEFA Cup contender, minus just Brad Friedel and David Bentley, and turned it into a 19th placed club. Unacceptable form for a side who have previously won the league.
Blackburn have released a statement shortly after the sacking saying that they are actively pursuing a replacement in time for Saturday’s match against Stoke.
Do Blackburn have enough time to salvage their season? Have your say in the forums!
