Yakubu Out for Season

Everton celebrated their 1-0 win over Tottenham half-heartedly, knowing that there are many problems the Toffees will need to deal with in the coming weeks. Following the match, David Moyes confirmed that striker Yakubu will be out for the rest of the Premier League campaign. The Nigerian was subbed out in the first half after injuring his achilles tendon, and now faces a long layoff.

Furthermore, Yakubu’s replacement - Louis Saha - was stretchered off later in the match with a hamstring tear. There is no word on how long Saha will…

The only real chance of the match came through Obafemi Martins. The pacy Nigerian striker hit the crossbar on 35 mintues. Sanli Tuncay gave the home fans something to cheer about as he put on a masterclass of footwork in the first half. Afonso Alves also…

Sunderland Thrashed 4-1 by Bolton

Roy Keane’s Black Cats side slipped further down the table following a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Bolton. The home side grabbed a 1-0 lead after 11 minutes when Djibril Cisse fired home from 16 yards out. The lead was short lived, though, as Matty Taylor got the better of Pascal Chimbonda in the air and equalized for Bolton just six minutes after going behind. Four minutes later Gary Cahill dealt Sunderland another blow as he made it 2-1 for Bolton. Djibril Cisse then put Sunderland back into contention with…

Real Madrid Promise Two Signings

Real Madrid love the spotlight. The glamor club of Spain is always entangled in transfer speculation, and president Ramon Calderon has started the rumor mill again.

“You want headlines and I’m going to give you them,” Calderon told Radio Marca. “We are going to make two good signings in the month of December. I don’t know their names because that is Mijatovic’s domain, but I know they are going to be young, quick, and will be able to play in the Champions League.

“We want them to be players who will stay for…
