ScolariFollowing Hull City’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea the other night, Brazilian star Geovanni has managed to walk away from the game with a big confidence boost, having impressed fellow countryman Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Scolari was full of praise for the new fans favorite at the KC Stadium, and admired what the 28 year old has contributed to his side’s amazing start to life in the Premier League. With 4 goals already to his name, rumors have circulated regarding a possible recall into the prestigious national side for Geovanni, but Scolari didn’t wish to interfere with matters involving Brazil.

Speaking to KCFM, Scolari had this to say: “He’s my friend and for Hull City I think he is one of their best players. He’s intelligent and works for the team and shoots for goal. I know Geovanni very well because he was my player at Cruzeiro in Brazil.”

Big Phil was not only impressed with Geovanni though, and showed his appreciation to Hull City as a team and was full of admiration for a work rate which has paid dividends already this season. “I like this team and it’s very difficult to beat them. They fight and they have quality and they want to show to some people that Hull City is a big team.”

So despite a 6 match unbeaten run coming to an abrupt end, Hull City will take no shame in what was a proud and determined performance, and hold their hands up having been beaten simply by the better team.

Next up for the Tigers is another mouth-watering encounter in a trip to Old Trafford on Saturday.
